Day one arrives before the paperwork
A new hire has not started yet, has no company email, and is filling forms on a phone.
- Forms come back half done
- One signature missing, one page not scanned, and payroll is delayed.
- Every hire is a new thread
- The same list, the same reminders, for each person and each manager.
- Certifications lapse quietly
- Licences and work permits expire with nobody watching the date.
How Sealio fits onboarding
HR teams choose the HR pack at sign-up, which names cases “Onboardings”. Your people are the “clients”.
- One checklist for every hire
- Build your onboarding checklist once, with instructions under each item, and send it to each new hire.
- No account for the new hire
- They open a link, confirm with a code sent to their personal email, and upload from a phone.
- Reminders before day one
- Sealio follows up every few days until everything required is in.
- Expiry dates on record
- Capture expiry dates for permits and licences, and see what expires within 90 days.
- Roles for your team
- Reviewers accept and return documents; Viewers such as hiring managers can only read.
- Yearly re-collection
- Use a yearly schedule to collect renewed certifications or updated forms from everyone.
A new hire before day one
A worked example with made-up names. Every step is something Sealio does today.
An HR coordinator sends the onboarding checklist to a new hire’s personal email ten days before the start date. The new hire confirms a code on his phone and uploads photo ID and a signed offer letter that evening.
The direct deposit form comes back unsigned, so the coordinator returns it with that reason. Reminders bring in the tax forms by the end of the week. On the start date payroll has a complete, reviewed file, and the hiring manager, a Viewer, can see that onboarding is complete without being able to change anything.
Start from a checklist, then make it yours.
A dedicated hr & onboarding checklist is not in the starter library yet. Start from the general one below or from blank; the sample above takes a few minutes to build.
HR & onboarding: questions and answers
Does a new hire need a Sealio account?
No. They open a personal link and confirm with a 6-digit code sent to their email. There is no password.
Is there a ready-made onboarding checklist?
Sealio includes a short “New client onboarding” checklist (photo ID, proof of address, signed letter) you can adapt. A dedicated HR checklist is yours to build in the checklist builder.
Can documents be collected again each year?
Yes. A yearly schedule sends the same checklist to everyone you choose.
Your next client is the last item on the list.
Start with a ready-made checklist or build your own, invite a client, and watch the stamps land.
