A claim waits on its evidence
The policyholder is stressed, on a phone, and unsure what counts.
- Photos by text message
- Evidence arrives across channels with no link to the claim it belongs to.
- Unclear requirements
- A list in an email does not say how many photos, or which pages.
- Renewals every year
- The same information is asked for again, from scratch.
How Sealio fits brokers and claims teams
Insurance firms choose the insurance pack at sign-up, which names cases “Claims”. Checklists are yours to build.
- A slot for every piece of evidence
- Each item says what is needed, which file types are accepted and how many files it takes.
- Built for the phone camera
- Policyholders take photos directly on the upload page, several at once.
- Notes on an item
- A policyholder can explain a missing receipt on the item itself, and your team replies there.
- Claims with stages
- Track each claim through your stages, with internal notes clients never see.
- Yearly renewals
- A yearly schedule sends the renewal checklist to each client automatically.
- Every view recorded
- Who opened which document, and when, is in the audit trail.
A property claim
A worked example with made-up names. Every step is something Sealio does today.
After a burst pipe, a broker’s claims handler opens a claim and sends the policyholder a checklist: proof of loss form, photos of the damage, repair estimates and receipts. The policyholder takes twelve photos on her phone and uploads them to one item.
She has no receipt for a damaged rug and says so in a note on that item; the handler replies there with what the insurer will accept instead. When the contractor’s estimate arrives the request completes, and the handler exports the claim’s documents as one ZIP for the insurer.
Start from a checklist, then make it yours.
A dedicated insurance checklist is not in the starter library yet. Start from the general one below or from blank; the sample above takes a few minutes to build.
Insurance: questions and answers
Can policyholders upload photos from a phone?
Yes. On phones the upload button includes taking a photo, and several files can be sent at once.
Is there a ready-made claims checklist?
Not yet. Build your own in the checklist builder and reuse it for every claim. The insurance pack already names cases “Claims”.
Is every access to a claim document recorded?
Yes. Every preview and download is written to a tamper-evident audit trail.
Your next client is the last item on the list.
Start with a ready-made checklist or build your own, invite a client, and watch the stamps land.
