What the client is asked for.
“The statements and receipts we need to close your books for the month.” is the line your client sees at the top of the checklist. Every item below can be edited once you copy it.
| # | Document | Accepts | Needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bank statementsEvery business account, for the whole month. | PDF, Photo · up to 10 | Required |
| 2 | Credit card statements | PDF, Photo · up to 10 | Required |
| 3 | Sales invoices issued | PDF, Word / Excel · up to 50 | Optional |
| 4 | Receipts over the thresholdReceipts for purchases we agreed need backup. | PDF, Photo · up to 50 | Optional |
| 5 | Payroll summary | PDF, Word / Excel · up to 5 | Optional |
When to use it.
Bank and credit card statements are required every month. Invoices, receipts and the payroll summary are optional, for clients whose books need them.
Pair it with a monthly schedule: each send asks for the month that just ended, and each client gets their own request so one late client never holds up the others.
